astraHR in Claude
Connect Claude to your astraHR account to check leave, see who is out and prepare requests. Claude sees only what you can see in astraHR, and nothing changes until you confirm it in astraHR.
Before you start
The connection is part of a paid Complete plan with the AI assistant turned on. It is not available during a trial. Each person connects their own account, and the owner of the workspace decides whether connecting is allowed at all.
How to connect

Your workspace owner turns on AI apps in astraHR, under Settings, Integrations. It is off until they do.

In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, and add a custom connector with this address:

Claude opens astraHR. Sign in if you are asked to, check what the connection allows, and press Allow.

Ask Claude about your leave, for example “How many days do I have left?” or “Who is out next week?”
Connecting again replaces your earlier connection, so you have one connection per person.
What Claude can look up
My leave balance
Your allowances for this year: entitlement, days carried over, used and left.
My leave requests
Your own recent requests, with their dates, days and status.
Who is out
Who in your workspace is off, or has asked to be off, between two dates. Names and dates only.
Awaiting my decision
The pending requests you can approve or reject.
Leave I can cancel
Approved leave of other people that you may cancel as an owner, an admin or their line manager.
What Claude can prepare
Claude never changes leave itself. When it prepares a change, it gives you a link to astraHR, where you see the details and press Confirm. A prepared change expires after ten minutes if you do not.
Request leave
Prepares a request for your dates. You choose the leave type in astraHR when you confirm.
Decide a request
Prepares approving or rejecting a request you are allowed to decide.
Cancel approved leave
Prepares cancelling your own pending request, or approved leave you are allowed to cancel.
What Claude receives
Names of the people involved, leave dates, numbers of days and leave balances, limited to what you can see in astraHR. astraHR never sends leave types, the reasons for leave, or pay. This is why balances appear in Claude as unnamed allowances.
Disconnecting
Disconnect any time in astraHR, under Settings, Integrations, or remove the connector in Claude. A connection also ends when the owner turns AI apps off or when you leave the workspace. Claude asks you to connect again after 30 days without use, and at least every 90 days.

Claude is made by Anthropic, which is not affiliated with astraHR. ChatGPT is not supported yet.
