Projects and tasks, and Claude to help run them
Plan work in projects and milestones, give every task a number, a history and a place to discuss it, and ask Claude to create or update tasks for you under your own permissions.
Projects are being turned on workspace by workspace. Tasks are in every workspace.
In astraHR
The work, next to the people doing it
An onboarding plan, a policy rollout or a hiring push lives in the same workspace as the people it is about, so the assignee picker, the reporting lines and the permissions are the ones you already have.
Projects and milestones
Group work into projects with a lead, a start and a target date, and split each one into milestones. Progress is counted from the tasks inside.
Every task has a number
Tasks are numbered in order under your workspace's key, such as NW-24. Mention a number in a description or comment and it links to the task.
A list and a board
Backlog, To do, In progress, Blocked, In review, Done and Cancelled, with priorities from low to urgent and sub-tasks under a task.
Comments and files
Discuss the work on the task itself, with descriptions and comments written in Markdown, and attach the files that belong to it.
A history that stays
Every change is recorded with who made it and when: status, assignee, dates, project, description and files. Nobody can rewrite it, and only the Admin can clear the old text of a description.
You decide who manages
The Admin manages every project. In Settings you choose who else may create projects, only their own or all of them, and a project's lead manages it.
In Claude
Ask Claude, and the task is there
Connect Claude to your own astraHR account and say what you need. Claude finds the project and the person in it, creates the task, and it appears in astraHR straight away, with “via Claude” in its history.
Ask about the work
Claude can list projects and tasks, open one by its number, and read its description, comments and history, as far as you can see them in astraHR.
Make changes in plain words
Claude can create and update tasks, projects and milestones, and comment on a task, assigning work to people it finds in your projects and tasks. The change happens straight away, as you, with your own permissions.
Marked via Claude
Every change Claude makes shows in the task's history with your name and “via Claude”, so the team can tell it apart from work done in astraHR.
Nothing is deleted
There are no delete tools. Claude cannot remove a task, a project, a milestone or a comment, and changes are limited to 200 an hour per person.

What you need
Tasks in every workspace
Tasks with an assignee, a due date, files and a status are part of Core. Projects, milestones and the board are being turned on workspace by workspace; ask us for yours.
Claude on a paid Complete plan
Each person connects their own astraHR account once the workspace owner turns on AI apps in Settings. It is off until they do, and it is not available during the trial.
Claude, not ChatGPT
The connector works with Claude today. ChatGPT is not supported. Leave requests and decisions through Claude are only prepared, and you confirm them in astraHR.
